CULTURA INCA : MACHU PICCHU (PERÚ)

Localizada a 2,400 m.s.n.m., en la provincia de Urubamba,  departamento del Cusco, Machu Picchu (Cumbre Mayor, en español) sorprende por la forma en que las construcciones de piedra se despliegan sobre una loma estrecha y desnivelada, cuyos bordes un farallón de 400 metros de profundidad- forman el cañón por el que se llega al río Urubamba.

Machu Picchu, es una ciudadela rodeada de misterio porque hasta ahora los arqueólogos no han podido descifrar la historia y la función de esta pétrea ciudad de casi un kilómetro de extensión, erigida por los Incas en una mágica zona geográfica, donde confluyen lo andino y lo amazónico.

Located to 2,400 m.s.n.m., in the province of Urubamba,  department of the Cusco, Machu Picchu (Major Summit, in Spanish) surprises for the form in which the constructions of stone despliegan on a narrow and unbalanced hill, which edges a headland of 400 meters of depth - form the cannon for the one that comes near to the river Urubamba.

Machu Picchu, is a citadel surrounded with mystery because till now the archeologists could not have deciphered the history and the function of this stony city of almost a kilometre of extension, raised by the Incas in a magic geographical zone, where the Andean thing and the Amazonian thing come together.

CULTURA MAYA : EQUINOCIO EN CHICHEN-ITZÁ (MEXICO)

Como sucedió hace más de 1,000 años, el fenómeno del equinoccio (21/22 marzo y septiembre) en el templo de Kukulcán en Chichén Itzá, sigue conmoviendo los corazones de los espectadores.

En estas épocas del año, el juego de luz y sombra en el templo, crea esta ilusión óptica: La de una serpiente que se mueve. Miles de entusiastas se reunen en Chichén Itzá para vivir la experiencia de la magia maya. Al observar a la serpiente bajar por el templo, los visitantes se podrán preguntar hacia dónde va.

Se ha descubierto que en los días equinocciales, antes de ocultarse el sol entre las 14:15 a 16:50Hrs, las sombras de las esquinas de las plataformas superpuestas del lado norte, se van proyectando de arriba hacia abajo en forma sucesiva en la orilla de la alfarda norte hasta que se forman con claros de luz solar siete ángulos isósceles, de manera que el conjunto se asemeja al cuerpo ondulante de una serpiente que parece descender de la pirámide porque el séptimo triángulo coincide con la garganta del reptil que está al principio de la alfarda.

Este fenómeno dura unos minutos conforme el sol se oculta, y los triángulos van desapareciendo en orden inverso, o sea de abajo hacia arriba. 

Since it happened it does more than 1,000 years, the phenomenon of the equinox (21/22 March and September) in Kukulcán's temple in Chichén Itzá, it continues affecting the hearts of the spectators.

In these epochs of the year, the game of light and shade in the temple, it creates this optical illusion: That of a serpent that moves. Thousands of enthusiasts re-join in Chichén Itzá to live through the experience of the Mayan magic. On having observed to the serpent to go down for the temple, the visitors will be able to wonder towards where it goes.

 One has discovered that in the equinoctial days, before the Sun hiding itself between 14:15 to 16:50Hrs, the shades of the corners of the platforms superposed of the north side, are projected of it arrives down in successive form in the shore of the north alfarda until seven angles are formed with clear of solar isosceles light, so that the set is alike the undulating body of a serpent that seems to descend from the pyramid because the seventh triangle coincides with the throat of the reptile that it is initially of the alfarda.

This phenomenon lasts a few minutes as the Sun hides itself, and the triangles are disappearing in inverse order, or from the bottom up.
